Testimonials

Dear Mrs. Moga,

We are writing to express our gratitude to you and to all the faculty and staff of Le Chaperon Rouge Elementary. We greatly appreciate all the effort and hard work that is put forth by all to make Le chaperon Rouge Elementary such an outstanding institution. We are impressed by the way the staff goes "above and beyond" what is expected of them to ensure our kids have a challenging, yet non threatening, education environment.

We feel very comfortable with the small student to teacher ratio and the close-knit group of families that work cooperatively to ensure that the best possible resources are available to all the students. The smaller class sizes make communication between parents and teachers more personal. We enjoy have the opportunity every day to interact with our kids' teachers and express any concerns that we may have. They always make time in their busy schedules to greet us at the end of the day when we return to pick up our kids. We love to hear all the positive remarks from the teachers, as well as, our kids that keep us up to speed about what happened during the day.

We feel good because we know that their school is a place they look forward to going every day and this feedback indicates to us that they have a positive attitude about learning. We would definitely feel comfortable recommending Le Chaperon Rouge Elementary to anyone interested in finding a superior learning environment for their children. Thanks again.

Sincerely,

\Bob & Susan Wickman

Dear Mrs. Moga,

Thank you so much for giving Alex the opportunity to attend Le Chaperon Rouge. He has been a student for over two years and we are very proud of his progress. You have an excellent staff that has gone above and beyond the call of duty to help Alex feel comfortable. Your Center Director and Staff were relentless in their efforts to help Alex adjust to being away from home and we extend our heartfelt thanks.

As the close of the school year approaches, we are amazed with the amount of knowledge Alex has gained with the kindergarten program. The teacher has a tremendous talent for working with children and it truly shows in Alex. I feel confident that first grade will be a breeze thanks to the curriculum and Your kindergarten teaching is more than drilling letters, numbers and words and we are proud of the loving manner in which she operates her classroom.

The French lessons at Le Chaperon Rouge have been an added bonus. Alex has impressed many with his second language, and what a joy that has brought us.

Alex has gained an immeasurable amount of self-confidence. As I come to a close, I try to think of the good and the bad of our experience while at Le Chaperon Rouge. The good far exceeds the space on this page. The only bad is that our time with you has come to an end.

When I moved to Rocky River I had to wait to take my three boys into Le Chaperon Rouge. It was worth the wait. My children have blossomed into compassionate, friendly little boys. My second son is more than ready for kindergarten. LCR is a great starting point for the continuing family community life that Rocky River has.

Le Chaperon Rouge, has been my childcare provider for my daughter since she was two and a half years old. I feel that the staff at Le Chaperon Rouge is doing a great job with all the kids they have. I am impressed at what my daughter has learned from the teachers prior to going to kindergarten. My daughter is now attending kindergarten at Le Chaperon Rouge due to the reviews I'd heard. She enjoys her teacher and I feel that she has improved even more with this class. I would recommend others to have their child attend Le Chaperon Rouge.

To whom it may concern --

My son attended a private kindergarten elsewhere, and I was looking for (1) high-quality teachers, (2) small student to teacher ratio, (3) non-denominational moral guidance, and (4) a large variety of traditional and modern subjects and teaching.

I am pleased to say I found all four of my demands for my child, plus an incredible staff totally in tune to my child and all the other children in regard to their individual development and personalities.

It is going to be a huge challenge to find anything comparable to this school in my son's future. This school is a bargain when one considers the alternatives out there.

Donna M. DiDonna, Parent

My children have attended LCR and LCRE for a total of almost seven years. My daughter completed kindergarten and first here, and my son will do the same. The quality of the education my children have received is excellent and I like the small classes and individual attention. The hours and food program make it even more attractive for me. I like the fact that with our busy schedules and hectic mornings, I do not have to make breakfast or pack lunches. I would highly recommend this facility, and have come to regret putting my daughter in public school for second grade.

Le Chaperon Rouge:

My daughter, Mandy, has been at the school for first grade and is now in second. I have been extremely pleased with the school and her development. Many studies show that learning a second language promotes faster development in children. This makes the French program so important. It still amazes me how Mandy can count to 100, know the colors and sing songs in French. There are other studies out that state learning a musical instrument at a young age helps in math and other studies. The option of having keyboard lessons at the school is fantastic. The kids not only get lessons on keyboards, but they do not lose time at night to go to lessons. The small class sizes and the great teachers make this school a great place for a child to learn. With the small class sizes, it also seems to build strong friends among the kids. The curriculum is much advanced over a public school. I have second graders on my street that Mandy plays with. The things they are doing in second grade, Mandy was doing early in first grade--the difference is incredible! "Expectations are so important--because you're going to find what you are looking for." At Le Chaperon Rouge, they simply expect and teach the kids to do better. Simply put, an outstanding education is the best thing that we as parents can give our children. I am very happy knowing that when I drop Mandy off, she is getting that outstanding education at Le Chaperon Rouge. Thank you again!!!

Sincerely,

Dave Mortach

To Whom It May Concern:

I have been a teacher for nearly thirty years. In those years I have been involved in teaching in both public schools and private school. I am very happy teaching at LCR, even though I could be earning perhaps double the salary in a public school situation. It is very rewarding to work with the children in our school. They have a genuine love of learning and parents who are very supportive of their educational efforts.

I feel that our school has a wonderful environment for learning. The children are very motivated, happy learners. The staff is dedicated to creating the most positive learning atmosphere possible. As an example, our upper grades are currently creating an Inventor's Hall of Fame based on their study of Inventors and the process of invention. Our Kindergartners are practicing their reading skills by reading to their classmates from sight wordbooks, phonics readers, and "Bright and Early" readers books. Our first graders are creating a museum of Outer Space with independent learning projects.

Our children consistently test well in standardized testing. They possess what I feel is a genuine love of learning. I really enjoy teaching at LCR Elementary School.

To whom it may concern:

As a working mother, it is very important that my children are well cared for on a daily basis. It is certainly hard for me to leave my children every day, but Le Chaperon Rouge makes it easier on me, because I know my children are happy and they are taken care of well.

Not only does Le Chaperon Rouge provide excellent care, but they also provide my children with great education. I feel both my children are learning and growing every day. My children will definitely be ready for elementary school because of the structured curriculum. My son will be attending Kindergarten in the fall at Le Chaperon Rouge.

My children are also very happy with the daycare. I can tell just by their expressions when I drop them off and pick them up. They have never expressed any negative emotion. In fact, they always seem excited about their day.

I highly recommend Le Chaperon Rouge to any family seeking care for their children. You will be very happy you made this decision. I know it is a very important decision to make, but choosing Le Chaperon Rouge would be the right one.

Sincerely,

Dear Ms. Moga and Ms. Hartwell,

"With this being the last year that we will be attending Le Chaperon Rouge Day
Care Center, I find it important for me to both compliment you, and thank you
for caring for my children over the past 5 years.  Although Nicole will be
attending Kindergarten at Le Chaperon Rouge Elementary School next fall, I
wanted to make sure I didn't forget to acknowledge the Day Care Center.

Placing your children in Day Care is one of the most difficult challenges a
parent can face.  I remember looking at several centers before coming to
Le Chaperon Rouge.  One important factor that impressed me about
Le Chaperon Rouge were the security features.  From the security locked
front door, to the video cameras in each room, I felt reassured that when I
left my children in the morning that they would be safe.  On several occasions I
remember viewing tapes from the day to see how my child was adjusting to this
new environment.

Additionally, I was impressed with the food service that provided balanced
meals and snacks, as well as a clean cafeteria for meals.  The educational
services provided by Le Chaperon Rouge included a good variety that seemed
to satisfy both my children and myself.  I know my pediatrician was impressed
when she asked my children to count and they counted in French.  I know that
both of my children have been given an excellent educational start, and will be
well prepared to start elementary school.

Again, I would like to thank you for being such genuinely caring and loving
individuals.  It is extremely difficult to leave your children's care in the hands of
anyone other than family, but you have become our extended family.  I will
continue to recommend Le Chaperon Rouge Day Care Center and Elementary
School to anyone looking for a wonderful place for their children to learn and
play.
          Keep up the great work!!"

Mrs. Moga,

I wanted to express my satisfaction with the Hudson Le Chaperon Rouge.  The rate at which my girls have increased their knowledge of the basics (counting, recognition of letters, numbers, shapes, colors, etc.) has accelerated well beyond my expectations.

The number of extra activities offered at your school is tremendous.  It gives the parents an easy way to engage their children in different physical and mental activities that are usually difficult to fit into their lives.  Offering 2 foreign languages at this young age will benefit them beyond their current understanding.  The computer, gym and dance classes are an easy way for the kids to explore different activities at their own pace.

It is amazing how much they enjoy attending your school.  They rarely cry when we drop them off and they are always smiling when I pick them up.  My 2 year old includes all 3 of her teachers (Ms. Sue, Kelly and Lindsay) in the list of people that love her.  This speaks volumes to the types of teachers you have in your school.  They are making bonds with the children that, in my opinion, are vital for my children to grow into loving, caring adults.

Melissa is doing a great job running the school.  She is attentive to my comments and suggestions and she is very engaged and expedient in resolving issues.  Her approach with parents and the children is also commendable.  She knows everyone and my girls love her as much as the teachers they spend most of their time with.  She is taking the time to get to know the children and this makes me feel even more confident about the care they are receiving.

Overall, my husband and I are overjoyed we made the decision to move to your school when it was built in Hudson.  I don't even consider this day care.  You do so much more than watch over our children.  The amount of learning activities and fun activities that are offered are helping to shape my girls into children that love to learn and also love to explore different activities.

I really can't thank you enough for giving Hudson a superior school to prepare our young children for elementary school and beyond.

Best Regards,

Christine Comune

Miss Kathy has been our daughter Arianna's preschool teacher at Le Chaperon Rouge in Hudson for the past five months. Our daughter came into Kathy's class just as she was turning five years old. She came into the class not recognizing any of her letters or numbers, or knowing any letter sounds. She also did not look forward to going to "school" in the morning. She was just not enjoying her day.

It has been five months. Arianna has learned a tremendous amount in these past five months; mainly to the efforts of Miss Kathy. Arianna recognizes all her numbers and letters, along with knowing her letter sounds. She is able to sound out three letter words and read from her "Bob" books. Arianna is able to count and add small numbers together. The best comment I can make about her progress is that she is learning a significant amount each day. We were reviewing some of her work one evening and she turned, smiled and said, "Mommy, I am learning a lot!" She was quite proud of herself and her work. She has finally been challenged enough in the classroom, that school has become interesting and fun, while she is simultaneously learning. She brings home all of her class work, art work and crafts. I ask her questions about all of the different topics -- from animals to math -- and she consistently remembers the lessons she has learned. The fact that she remembers, tells me she is interested in the topic, and the topic is presented in a way that makes it interesting to a five year old who is now interested in going to "school" each day.

Our impression is that Miss Kathy's philosophy is to integrate current, leading edge teaching methodologies with those skills she has used successfully in the past (e.g. at Montessori). This philosophy, along with her hard work and conscientious, caring attitude, has produced results with Arianna that have exceeded our expectations.

Thank you Miss Kathy.

Best Regards,
Arianna's parents,
Carla and Michael Bankovich
